Recently, good news came from Yunnan Feihu Vocational Skills Training School. The school successfully won the title of "China Geographic Information Industry Association 2024 Excellent Test for Civil UAV Manover. This honor is not only a recognition of our teaching quality and examination organization ability, but also a recognition of our efforts and contributions in the field of UAV training over the years.

Flying Tiger Training Base

"Flying Tiger Training Base" is a civil UAV pilot license training and examination center approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China and built by Yunnan Flying Tiger Vocational Skills Training School. It is a fully qualified UAV operator training institution in Yunnan. It can train multi-rotor, helicopter, vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing UAV in-sight/beyond-sight operators and instructors.

The examination base is located in the Maixi Happy Sports Base of Changworm Mountain in the northern city of Kunming City. Its geographical location is superior, and it has an isolated airspace training base, which is convenient for students to study nearby and be familiar with the special landform and meteorological and climatic environment of the local plateau area in Yunnan. At the same time, we can carry out training services around the clock according to the time of training students, with the advantage of localized services.

The site is flat and open and far away from the downtown area. The flight activities are safe and free of interference. It has legal and effective training airspace approval documents. The airspace conditions are good and there are no tall obstacles. It is very suitable for UAV training and examination. The site covers an area of about 25 acres, of which Field 8 is a fixed-wing practical flight examination room, with a runway 120 meters long and 10 meters wide for fixed-wing drones to take off and land. In addition, the multi-rotor No.1 and No.2 practical flight examination areas provide relevant training and examination services for multi-rotor UAV pilots.

At the same time, the base is also equipped with theoretical examination room, theoretical classroom, charging room, maintenance room, warehouse, lounge, waiting area, toilet and other supporting facilities, with good UAV pilot training and examination conditions.

The award of the title of "excellent examination point" is an important milestone in the development of the school. The school will take this opportunity to further improve the teaching quality and service level, optimize the examination process, and provide students with more high-quality and efficient UAV control training services. At the same time, the school will continue to maintain close contact with the industry, jointly promote the innovation and development of UAV control technology, and contribute to the cultivation of more excellent UAV operators.
