Rapid Rescue Saves Lives; Police-Insurance Collaboration Demonstrates Responsibility

Recently, Kunming Security Group received a letter of gratitude from the Dachaoshan Police Station of the Yun’an County Public Security Bureau, which highly commended and sincerely thanked the security team dispatched by Kunming Security Group to the Dachaoshan Hydropower Station for their decisive response and selfless dedication in assisting police with an emergency rescue operation on the night of April 2, 2026, when a member of the public was suspected of attempting suicide by jumping into the river. During this rescue mission, Kunming Security Group personnel sprang into action upon receiving the order, stepping forward with professionalism and efficiency to buy precious time for saving a life, thereby fully demonstrating the state-owned enterprise’s sense of responsibility and the security team’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

On the night of April 2, 2026, the Dachaoxi Police Station of the Yun County Public Security Bureau received an emergency call from a member of the public reporting that someone was suspected of attempting to jump into the river and take their own life, with the situation being extremely urgent. Given that it would take some time for the responding officers to reach the scene, the station immediately contacted Comrade Luo Zhengquan, the on-site supervisor dispatched by the Kunming Security Group to the Dachaoxi Hydropower Station, and requested urgent assistance in handling the situation.

Upon receiving the request, Kunming Security Group responded swiftly and acted decisively, immediately dispatching duty team leader Bi Jianguo to lead a team in conducting a search along the riverbank and providing emotional counseling. Upon arrival at the scene, Comrade Bi Jianguo promptly led team members Yu Jinyong, Guo Lin, and others in a full-scale investigation and rescue operation, successfully locating the individual who was suspected of attempting suicide by jumping into the river before the police arrived. Faced with the agitated individual, the team members patiently provided psychological reassurance, firmly intervened to prevent dangerous behavior, and thereby established the first line of defense for saving lives. Subsequently, the team members accommodated the individual in the team headquarters office for continued counseling and coordination, fully cooperating with the local police station throughout the entire process until the crisis was completely resolved, thus preventing a tragic outcome.

During this emergency rescue operation, the security personnel of Kunming Security Group demonstrated three outstanding qualities: First, respond swiftly. Upon receiving the request for assistance, immediate action was taken, securing the critical “golden hour” for rescue operations; Second, efficient handling. Without any police support, the team members were able to swiftly conduct search and location operations while simultaneously using professional communication skills to stabilize the parties’ emotions, demonstrating robust emergency response capabilities. Third, responsibility and commitment. The team members took safeguarding lives as their mission, providing continuous support and coordination throughout the entire process and putting the principle of “putting the people first and life first” into practice through their actions.
