On the afternoon of May 31, 2024, with the approval of the Panlong District Federation of Trade Unions in Kunming, the founding conference of the Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation was grandly held in the conference room of the Kunming Security Association. 31 union representatives from 20 member units attended (37 representatives were expected). The conference was hosted by Fan Jingwei, the secretary-general of the Kunming Security Association.
The founding conference was conducted in an orderly manner in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of the Trade Union Law of the People's Republic of China, the Constitution of Chinese Trade Unions, the Regulations on the Representative Assembly of Grassroots Trade Union Members, and the Regulations on the Election Work of Grassroots Trade Union Organizations. The preparatory situation was introduced, the establishment approval was read, the election method and the chief and deputy inspectors were reviewed and approved, and the members of the 'three committees' of the trade union federation were elected by secret ballot. Ultimately, seven comrades including Fan Jingwei, Yang Ying, Liang Yuling, Ji Yuan, Liu Lihong, Du Hengshan, and Cao Yougang were elected as members of the first Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation. Three comrades including Ni Liang, Bai Hua, and Wang Liyuan were elected as members of the first Trade Union Federation Fund Review Committee, and three comrades including Liang Yuling, Ji Yuan, and Liu Lihong were elected as members of the first Trade Union Federation Women's Committee. Fan Jingwei, the secretary-general of the Kunming Security Association, was elected as the chairman of the first Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation, Yang Ying and Liang Yuling were elected as vice-chairmen, Ni Liang was elected as the director of the first Trade Union Federation Fund Review Committee, and Liang Yuling was elected as the director of the first Trade Union Federation Women's Committee.

The newly elected chairman of the first Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation, Fan Jingwei, delivered an acceptance speech. He sincerely thanked the vast number of security personnel for their trust and support, feeling a heavy and arduous responsibility on his shoulders. From now on, the 'team' of the Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation will earnestly practice the party's purpose, strengthen political responsibility and mission, diligently perform their duties, and strive to make positive contributions to the trade union cause of the Kunming security industry. The meeting concluded successfully in a joyful and friendly atmosphere.
