On the morning of February 29, the Kunming Security Association organized a symposium for the chairpersons of member unit trade unions, focusing on discussions about planning the establishment of the 'Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation.' More than 60 chairpersons and leaders from member unit trade unions attended the symposium. The meeting was hosted by Fan Jingwei, the secretary-general of the Kunming Security Association.

The symposium invited leaders from the Panlong District Federation of Trade Unions in Kunming to give a key presentation on relevant policies regarding trade union work and put forward clear requirements for the establishment of the 'Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation.' Secretary-General Fan Jingwei explained the practical significance and basic principles of establishing the 'Kunming Security Industry Trade Union Federation,' and made specific arrangements for the nomination of candidates for the leadership team of the trade union federation, application for membership, payment of dues, and preparations for the founding conference.
