The China Security Association Convenes a Meeting of the President’s Office to Deeply Study and Implement the Spirit of the Two Sessions and to Promote the Establishment and Practice of a Correct View of Political Achievements

On March 18, the China Security Association convened a meeting of its Presidium to thoroughly convey and study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks during the Two Sessions and the spirit of the Two Sessions, as well as his important instructions on launching study and education throughout the Party on establishing and practicing a correct view of official achievements. The meeting also conveyed and studied the spirit of the “Notice of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on Launching Study and Education Throughout the Party on Establishing and Practicing a Correct View of Official Achievements” and the relevant arrangements and requirements of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, and, in light of the realities of the industry, deliberated measures for implementing these directives. Du Hangwei, President of the Association, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Hua Jingfeng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General, together with Vice Presidents Wu Jianping, Zhao Shuifang, and Liu Zhiqiang, attended the meeting.

The meeting noted that this year’s Two Sessions were convened at a pivotal juncture—the inaugural stage of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the comprehensive advancement of Chinese modernization. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches delivered during the Two Sessions demonstrated far-sighted vision, profound thought, and rich substance, thereby charting the course and providing the fundamental guiding principles for effectively carrying out all tasks on the new track of the new era. The reports and resolutions deliberated and adopted at the Two Sessions are closely aligned with the primary task of high-quality development, making systematic arrangements for building a safe China and advancing the modernization of social governance—areas that are intimately connected with the security industry’s fulfillment of its duties and responsibilities and its service to the overall national interest. All members of the association must earnestly elevate their political awareness, regard studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and the spirit of the Two Sessions as a paramount political task at present, deeply appreciate the decisive significance of the “two establishments,” strengthen the “four consciousnesses,” bolster the “four confidences,” and ensure the “two safeguards.” They should consciously align their thinking and actions with the Party Central Committee’s decisions and arrangements, and translate the outcomes of their study into concrete results that drive the high-quality development of the security industry.

The meeting emphasized that launching study and education on establishing and practicing the correct view of political achievements throughout the Party is an important strategic deployment made by the CPC Central Committee to strengthen Party building in the new era and on the new journey. A relevant notice issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee has set out the overall requirements, key tasks, and work arrangements for this study and education, while the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, in light of the actual conditions of public security work, has formulated specific implementation plans, thereby providing clear guidance for the security industry to carry out this initiative. The Association must firmly grasp the core essence of the correct view of political achievements, adhere to a people-centered development philosophy, uphold the principles of seeking truth from facts and being pragmatic, resolutely oppose formalism and bureaucratism, regard serving the people and bringing them benefits as the most important measure of political achievement, and take the ability to stand the test of practice, the people, and history as the fundamental criterion for evaluating all our work. In this way, we will use the correct view of political achievements to guide and enhance the quality and effectiveness of all aspects of the Association’s work.

The meeting called on the association to stay firmly focused on its duties and responsibilities, and to ensure that study and implementation are carried out in depth, with concrete results and tangible outcomes. First, we must continuously deepen our study and understanding, combining self-study with centralized seminars, so as to gain a comprehensive and systematic grasp of the essential spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and the guiding principles of the Two Sessions. We should earnestly implement all arrangements and requirements for studying and cultivating a correct view of political achievements, and constantly enhance our political discernment, political comprehension, and political execution. Second, we must closely align our work with the realities of the industry, focusing on key tasks such as building a safe China, establishing a social security prevention and control system, and enhancing the capabilities and qualities of the security workforce. By identifying the right entry points and priorities, we will enable the security industry to better serve economic and social development and safeguard the lives and property of the people. Third, we must advance study and education in a solid and systematic manner, strictly following the directives of the Party Central Committee and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as the specific requirements of the Party Committees of the three bureaus, to integrate study and discussion, problem identification, rectification and improvement, and the establishment of rules and systems. Through study and education, we will strengthen Party character, uphold sound conduct, and promote practical action, thereby building an association workforce that is loyal, clean, and accountable. Fourth, we must strengthen the association’s leading role in the industry, guiding the national security sector to remain true to its original aspiration and mission, fulfill its social responsibilities, and carry forward the spirit of responsibility and dedication. By providing high-level security guarantees for high-quality development, we will contribute the strength of the security industry to the great cause of building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation.
