On January 1, 2026, at the start of the new year, Wang Wei-bo’s “Passionate Love 2.0” Tour Concert—Kunming Stop kicked off with a fiery performance at Kunming Xingyao Stadium. As the first major cultural and sports extravaganza of the year, the event drew tens of thousands of fans, creating an intensely enthusiastic atmosphere that posed multiple challenges for security operations. Guided by the core principle of "Taking full responsibility for the first event of the new year and firmly upholding the safety bottom line," the Kunming Security Group undertook the comprehensive security and inspection task for this event, using professional expertise to ensure a strong and steady start to the new year’s security efforts.

This concert is large-scale and highly popular. Xingyao Stadium features concentrated entrances and exits, significant elevation differences in the stands, and a road network around the venue that easily becomes congested during peak hours. Coupled with the fans’ enthusiastic emotions and strong desire for interaction, the challenges to safety management have significantly increased. To precisely address these pain points, the Kunming Security Group conducted comprehensive risk assessments well in advance and developed a specialized security assurance system: The security plan for large-scale events clearly outlines a multi-dimensional prevention and control approach—“zonal management, fixed-post duty, and mobile patrols”—and, based on the venue’s layout, meticulously designs security checkpoint configurations and deploys security forces to key areas. A corresponding emergency response plan for unexpected incidents has also been put in place. Additionally, a dedicated traffic management and evacuation plan precisely maps out “entry diversion and staggered exit strategies,” and coordinates with relevant departments to set up guidance posts along critical sections of surrounding roads, ensuring smooth flow of both pedestrians and vehicles.

On the day of the event, the leadership team of Kunming Security Group personally arrived at the scene to provide on-site command and oversee every stage—ensuring strict adherence to security inspection standards, thorough implementation of emergency preparedness measures, and effective maintenance of on-site order—thus injecting strong motivation into all officers on duty. All security and inspection personnel adopted a proactive attitude of “treating the first battle of the new year as a decisive one,” arriving early and undergoing intensive pre-duty training that focused particularly on identifying prohibited items, mastering emotional-de-escalation techniques, and honing emergency response procedures, thereby ensuring that everyone clearly understood their responsibilities and followed standardized operating protocols. During the event, in the face of the enthusiastic and fervent atmosphere among fans, the security inspection team rigorously enforced the “one person, one inspection; one item, one check” standard, efficiently screening for prohibited items such as lighters, flags, and promotional banners. At the same time, they provided patient and attentive service to ease fans’ anxiety while waiting. The security team focused on safeguarding key areas—including the stage perimeter and spectator walkways—promptly intervening to discourage dangerous behaviors like crossing stage barriers or gathering in crowded areas, and gently guiding and maintaining order throughout the venue. Throughout the entire event, no safety incidents or disruptions occurred, successfully achieving the security goal of “zero errors and zero mistakes.”

The successful completion of the security mission for this year’s first major event has thoroughly tested Kunming Security Group’s professional capabilities and emergency response skills in handling high-profile events, showcasing the pragmatic and responsible work ethic of all its employees. Moving forward, Kunming Security Group will systematically summarize the lessons learned from this mission, refine its security plans specifically for fan-intensive events, and provide stronger, more efficient security safeguards for all types of large-scale events.
